XCB Teams With United Way and New Orleans Saints Print E-mail
By Patty Oswalt Date: October 24, 2005

eXtreme Custom Billiards, a builder of custom pool tables in Umatilla, Florida has teamed up with the New Orleans Saints Football Organization to build a custom theme pool table for auction, with the net proceeds going to the Saints Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund.

“This is going to be a stunningly beautiful pool table,” said primary owner, John Conod, “with a high gloss black finish and gold leaf details. We’re asking the New Orleans Saints players to sign the pool table cabinet to increase its value.”

The three owners of eXtreme Custom Billiards, John, his wife Mary and sister Patty Oswalt are all lifelong residents of Florida and felt this was the perfect opportunity to show their gratitude for all the help Florida had received during the 2004 hurricane season.

“We have been deeply moved by everything that has happened in the Gulf Coast.” said Oswalt, “It’s our turn to provide assistance.”

The idea came to them just over a month ago. The New Orleans Saints was the first organization to be contacted. Jackie Henry from the New Orleans Saints Community Affairs responded.

The pool table should be completed and ready for signature within one month and then will be placed on Ebay for auction.
